Learning a kayak "Eskimo Roll" is a crucial skill in the sport of whitewater kayaking and sea kayaking. All our ACA certified kayak instructors have years of experience in teaching many methods of rolling a kayak in our Kayak Roll Classes. They understand that the roll is a skill that requires both physical and mental dexterity and that everyone has their own learning style.

Lake Session

If you want to learn how to roll a kayak or if you need to brush up on existing skills, a three hour roll session will give you a solid foundation to build on. You will have the knowledge to take your skills out to the river or lake on your own for lots of practice, practice, practice.

Kokopelli Kayak School offers kayak roll classes May-September at Emigrant Lake in Ashland, Oregon. Our classes are limited to four participants in each 3-hour session. Roll classes are also available at the Southern Oregon University pool during the winter months. Call us for pool class times and availability.
