Paddle Club Begins!

Whitewater kayakers and IKs welcome

Written by LD

For those of you who have been anxiously anticipating the first paddle club of the season, the time has come! Our whitewater kayaking paddle club begins Wed. July 11th. The Rogue and Klamath Rivers are at perfect levels for beginners-intermediate paddlers to work on their skills.

What is paddle club?
Our whitewater paddle club is a way for local whitewater kayakers and inflatable kayakers to get together once a week with fellow paddlers. A formal kayak lesson is required in order to participate in paddle club and to rent the equipment.

Meeting time: 4:30pm on Wednesday nights
Meeting place: Kokopelli River Center
Return time: approx. 10pm
Equipment: Bring your own. Rentals are available for $20
Shuttle vehicle will be required.

Paddle club will run through mid-September. We've had paddlers who have been attending paddle club for several years and their kayaking skills have been improved greatly because of this weekly event. Call and let us know if you'll be there Wednesday. Don't miss out on the fun!
